Teaching, Mentoring, and Mentors

Teaching and Lecturing

Critical thinking and understanding diverse perspectives are key skills for addressing complex social and environmental problems. In my teaching and mentoring, I aim to guide students in developing these skills and in discovering their passions and interests.

At UvA, I coordinate and teach three courses: "Water Governance" and "Water Management" are part of the Bachelor program Future Planet Studies. In the Master program Earth Sciences, I teach a course on "Human-Environment Interactions", which I developed together with my colleague Lies Jacobs.

A guest lecture on "Balancing resource security, climate resilience, and environmental sustainability from local to global scales" that I gave a while ago at Purdue's Ecological Sciences and Engineering Interdisciplinary Graduate Program Colloquium can be found here.
